This site is a mix of well documented family history and romanticized narratives about certain ancestors. The narratives are or will be part of three novels. The first, which was published in December 2014, "the Immigrant" is about John Law. The second, currently in process, "The Believers" is set in the 1840, primarily in Peterborough, New Hampshire and Nauvoo, Illinois. It is the historical saga of several of John Law's descendants, Naamah Kendell Jenkins Carter and the Taggarts. The third book, "The Patriot" is about John Law's great grandson, Reuben Law. He opened and closed the book, "The Immigrant", and will open the book "The Believers".

In doing research for these novels, I obviously am drawn into the genealogy and family history of John Law and his descendants. Above is Lawsbrook Road in 21st Century Acton, Massachusetts. Below is the the eleven generations of descendants from John Law, which mainly follow my direct line. The index on page 110 contains all the names. But here are a few that are quite common. CARTER, CRAGIN, LAW, LIVINGSTON, NICHOLS, PIPER, TAGGART, WETHERBEE and WHITE. Click on the _ to open the link _
