Sanford Ballard Chandler, Jr.'s direct line

Picture
So my mother-on-law, Suzie in her subtle but persistent manner encouraged me to look into the Chandlers. The photo to the left was Christmas Dinner 1954 and Sanford ("Sandy") Ballard Chandler, Jr. is the center point.  To the left is Suzie and her father, Russell Germond, and to the right Edward Hart ("Ned") Chandler, Suzie's mother, Margaret Germond and Jill.

I came upon a robust Chandler Family website, early in my research. Further, my contact person at the site was extremely helpful. Aren't most genealogists extremely helpful anyways?  Unlike the Woollacotts, there sure are a lot of Chandlers. If you have any drops of Chandler blood, I would encourage you to visit their site at www.edmundchandler.com.

Reuben Chandler was baptized in Duxbury, Massachusetts on 26 May 1765, journeyed with his family to Maine and settled initially in Bakerstown Plantation, which became Paris and ultimately Minot, Maine. He is buried on the side of Hersey Hill in his father's, Jonathan Chandler, original plot of land as shown above.

My paper is concerned with Sandy's direct line and covers seven generations, beginning with Sandy's four-greats grandfather, Reuben Chandler Here is the link for "Some Chandlers of Androscoggin and Oxford Counties, Maine" is /uploads/1/9/2/5/19256439/chandlers__2_of_oxford_and_androscoggin_in_template.pdf
